about jane Doe

With 10 + years in the same scene, two Bay Area female dance groups made their moves into

the hearts of dancers and observers alike. Two all-girl groups, with very distinct styles,

B-Syde and Sicks, pledged to use their differences to strengthen their similarities- thus,

the evolution of these two groups, into one ever-fresh, unpredictabe collective they call:

Jane Doe.

Jane Doe is your homegirl that has an assortment of looks and personalities, in which

she likes to represent through fashion and dance. And unlike Barbie, this doll

can move like no other. She has an eclectic style - with influences from contemporary,

modern, hip hop choreography, to break-girlin’, house, freestyle, and tap - all of which she

likes to combine into one groove she calls her own. Jane doe brings it to life with the help of a

collection of strong females representing her, and what she’s all about.

In a highly male dominated scene, where power and hype take center-stage, it is a breath of

fresh air to see these ladies take charge in a completly different fashion.
